STUDIO ART 2
Recommended For: Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors
Prerequisites: Applicant must have completed Studio Art 1
This course offers an in-depth study of topics introduced in Studio Art I. Advanced techniques in drawing and design will be utilized to develop creative thinking skills further. Topics such as color, abstraction, freehand perspective, figure drawing, watercolor painting, and portraiture will be further explored. Students will also explore various careers in the fine arts, design, architecture, museum studies, and art education.
Studio Art 2 continues where Studio Art 1 left off. The course offers the student an in-depth study of expression and opportunities to develop a personal style. Emphasis is on idea development, creative thinking, self-expression, and non-verbal communication is stressed. The study of artists and their styles, with a focus on abstraction, is also included in this course.
Prerequisite: Studio Art I.
